Dhaka, September 24:- A day long workshop on ‘Mutual co-operation in handling aviation disaster in Airports organized by Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held at BAF Base Bangabandhu, Dhaka on 24 September 2018.
Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bangabandhu Air Vice Marshal M Sayed Hossain, BSP, GUP, ndc, psc inaugurated the Workshop. The aim of the workshop was to identify the challenges of handling and managing actions after an aviation disaster in airports by mutual co-operation with civil aviation authority of Bangladesh.
In closing session, the Chief Guest, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) Air Vice Marshal Ehsanul Gani Choudhury, OSP, GUP, ndu, psc expressed his heartfelt thanks for organizing the workshop. He applauded the noble objective of the workshop and advised all to work together in handling aviation disaster by mutual co-operation. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Plans) also expressed that this mutual workshop would greatly benefit the concepts and practices of safety culture.
He expected that the participants with their rich experience and knowledge would be able to identify and counter different challenges of handling such disaster professionally. He further viewed that the outcome of this workshop would also help in efficient management of the aviation disaster if followed.
It may be mentioned that representatives from BAF, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd participated in the workshop.
