SEMINAR ON  “ROHINGYA CRISIS: CHALLENGES AND WAYS FORWARD” HELD AT NDC

 

 

Dhaka, 05 September 2018:  National Defence College (NDC) at Mirpur Cantonment organised a day-long seminar on “ROHINGYA CRISIS: CHALLENGES AND WAYS FORWARD” on Wednesday (05-9-2018).

Mr. Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, MP, Foreign Minister, was present as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest stated various important aspects of rohingya crisis as well as its challenges. He appreciated NDC for taking the initiative of organising a seminar on such an important contemporary issue. Lieutenant General Sheikh Mamun Khaled Commandant, NDC delivered his welcome speech.

Eminent intelligentsia and personalities from both military and civil society as well as76 participants of National Defence Course 2018, which included 23 senior military officials from 12 friendly countries and 35 participants of Armed Forces War Course 2018 attended the seminar. A nominated group of Course Members of Armed Forces War Course 2018 and Professor Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Department of International Relations, Dhaka University and Mr. Asif Munier, Former Official of International Organization of Migration (IOM) presented well-researched keynote papers on “ROHINGYA CRISIS: CHALLENGES AND WAYS FORWARD“. The papers and the seminar discourse suggested thought-provoking way forwards, its challenges and future potential, which drew attention of the audience and deserves due consideration.
