Dhaka, February 07:- The graduation ceremony of the “DSCSC 2017 – 2018” Course, of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) was held on wednesday (07-2-2018) at ‘Sheikh Hasina Complex’ DSCSC in Mirpur Cantonment,Dhaka.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister, in her speech congratulated all the graduates for successful completion of the course. She advised all the graduating officers to contribute in national development through sincere efforts and dedication at their new assignments.

At the outset, the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Major General A K M Abdullahil Baquee delivered welcome address on this occasion. The Commandant expressed his deep gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for her gracious presence and consistent support for the development of the College.
This year, a total of 266 officers including 136 officers from Bangladesh Army, 40 officers from Bangladesh Navy, 22 officers from Bangladesh Air Force and 68 overseas officers from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Liberia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, USA and Zambia have successfully graduated from this College.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina gave away the certificates amongst the graduating officers as the Chief Guest. Ambassadors/High Commissioners, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, Acting Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, PSO of the Armed Forces Division, Press Sectretary of Hon’ble Prime Minister,PSOs of the Three Services, Chancellors of the Jahangirnagar, Bangladesh University of Professionals and Maritime University; and the Defence/ Military Attaches of the countries representating in the course and other senior military and civil officials were present .
Mentionable, that the Defence Services Command and Staff College is a tri-service training institution of Bangladesh Armed Forces. The purpose of establishing this institution in 1977 was to prepare selected officers of three Services for the assumption of increasing responsibilities both in command and staff appointments. So far 3732 Bangladeshi officers and 1066 overseas officers from 40 friendly countries have graduated from this College.
