Dhaka, March 04: The annual two-weeks long CAPSTONE COURSE for national policymaking leadership was inaugurated today at the National Defence College. The course will terminate on 15 March 2018.
Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy, BB, BSP, SBP, ndc, psc, PhD, Commandant, NDC inaugurated the course as the Chief Guest. The course is in its Ninth year and has generated great interest among all sectors of the national policymaking milieu.
A total of 35 Fellows including parliamentarians, bureaucrats/technocrats (Secretaries and equivalent), senior military officers (Major General and equivalent), eminent educationalist, senior doctors at policy planning level, senior Police Officer, senior representative from government autonomus institutions, senior journalists, business leaders/CEOs/industrialists, Non Government Organization representatives and consul/diplomat are taking part in the course.
In his address, the Commandant paid his deepest tribute to our great leader, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all who sacrificed their lives in liberation war and language movement. He emphasized on knowledge, understanding and mutual respect to build up a co-creative solution oriented framework for ensuring sound foundation for national security and development. He also mentioned that, we would continue our struggle to realize the dreams of the Father of the Nation.
Among others, Faculty Members, Course Members of Armed Forces War Course-2018 and Staff Officers of NDC were present on the occasion.
