AIR CHIEF LEAVES FOR UN MISSION AREA OF CONGO AND MALI

Dhaka, 05 September: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc left Dhaka for United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali on Wednesday (05-09-2018) on an official visit.

On arrival at BAF Contingents in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chief of Air Staff will be given a guard of honour by a smartly turned out BAF contingent. During his stay in Congo, he will attend the Medal Parade of Bangladesh Air Force Contingents (Bangladesh Utility Aviation Unit, Bangladesh Air field Services Unit and Bangladesh Air Transport Unit) in Bunia and Dungu of Congo. He will also visit various units of BANAIR contingents and call on the Force commander of the UN mission in Congo.

Besides, the Chief of Air Staff will visit BANAIR contingent in Mali and exchange greetings with the members of the contingent. It is expected that the visit would boost up the morale of peacekeeping members of Bangladesh in mission areas, help to enhance BAF relation with the UN and also open up new opportunities for future co-operation with UN.

Mentionable that the Chief of Air Staff will visit Turkey while returning home. He will call on the Commander of Turkish Air Force and exchange views on mutual interests and professional matters.
